About Blake
Blake is a tax attorney (licensed in North Carolina only) and a Certified Public Accountant (North Carolina). Blake began his affiliation with McGill and Lyon Dental Advisors (previously McGill & Hill Group) in May 1998. He works on practice transitions (i.e. sales, partnerships, buy-ins and buy-outs), including preparation or review of documents, advice regarding structures and the tax and other effects thereof, assistance in creating and/or reorganizing and dissolving entities, estate planning advice and preparation of documents (i.e. wills, trusts, power of attorney, etc.), and creating family partnerships.
Academic Background
Blake graduated with honors from Louisiana State University. He also graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina where he obtained his law degree. He is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar, North Carolina Bar and American Bar Association, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Professional Background
Prior to law school, Blake spent five years in public accounting. After law school, he worked in a general law firm for five years where he expanded his skills and knowledge and provided a variety of services to numerous clients
